Cariant on Spotify: Sara

We know it’s hard to filter through the noise (other travel therapy companies, other recruiters, just… other) and find what resonates. So we’re giving you another way to get to know Cariant Health Partners–through music. Our new Spotify playlist is courtesy of our Social Marketing Manager.

To narrow down your favorite songs is a major task for major music lovers. Sara started with some of newer favorites and sang her way back to 2001, where this playlist ends. If she had unlimited time her playlist would have to go back all the way to the Renaissance periodwhich is where her collection starts at home.

“My vinyl collection is organized by periods of music, starting with songs from the mid-1500s and moving up through jazz, swing, folk revivals and classic rock. My digital collection is much more contemporary.”

Here are her notes on a few favorites:

Jose Gonzalez, “Step Out” I fell in love with the movie “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” when I saw it in theaters and immediately went looking for the soundtrack. The movie quickly became one I could watch anytime it pops up on TV, and the uplifting soundtrack is also deserving of a repeat.

David J. Roch, “Skin & Bones” — Sad song. Beautiful crescendo moment and trumpet.

Kings of Leon, “Pyro” — I was (am) a huge KOL fan. I love the layering on this piece.

Mumford & Sons, “Roll Away Your Stone” — If I was a huge KOL fan, I flat out ADORE Mumford & Sons. I attended their Gentlemen of the Road tour last summer and they are incredible live. Best live musical experience ever. When all the bands from the tour came out and Mumford ended the encore with “With a Little Help From My Friends” by the Beatles, I experienced musical nirvana. Needless to say, I can listen to their records back-to-back most days.

Angels & Airwaves, “The Adventure” — My husband says this song reminded him of me when we first started dating. It will always remain a favorite!

Enjoy!
